Oxycodone Hcl 20 Mg N P 14
UpdatedHello everyone & top o' the mornin to ya! the medicine you are speaking of and have described, is in fact, a 20mg oxycodone. Oxycodone HCL to be exact..which is pretty much a 20mg instant release percocet with no tylenol added..tiny round grayish pill with 14 and N P & scored imprints... side effects vary..im a little more dizzy than id like to be! not used to feeling this way from these kinds of meds. also the fillers are different & it does not dissolve in liquids or applesauce..but its for those same reasons that companies are changing medicines - so "certain people" cant abuse them. its to be taken by mouth only & the drug companies are trying to keep drug addicted people or needle addicted people from abusing medicines while all at the same time trying to keep us pleased. the pill still works.. please understand that & give your mind & body time to adjust to these.. just as your body had to adjust when you started taking pain medicine in the first place. Lets try to be happy that we have any pain medicine at all... the people who are abusing medicines make it harder for those of us with real health problems (neuropathy, fibromyalgia, car accidents, ect) to get anything at all..alot of the time, people who truly need help to manage pain get turned away! i could go to ER with a broken neck and an eye falling out its socket & be given tylenol or motrin IB instead of something thatd actually help!!! peace be with you & i hope my answer was of some help to someone..

Thank you for the very informative post Roxanne. It seems all manufacturers are utilizing different sets of binders/fillers… some of which may be more problematic than others in terms of how they affect absorption or contribute to the onset of certain side effects.
Just to give others an idea of what else is in this particular N P 14 tablet, the manufacturer (Nesher Pharmaceutcials) reportedly uses the following set of inactive ingredients:
Magnesium Stearate + Microcrystalline Cellulose + Silicone Dioxide + Stearic Acid + FD/C Blue No. 1 + FD/C Blue No. 2 + FD/C Red No. 40 + FD/C + Yellow No. 6 + Aluminum Hydroxide
I don't know how anyone else feels about taking this much dye, but patients should know that various types of food coloring including those listed above have been linked to cancer (REF: nih.gov/PMC2957945). The pharmaceutical industry really is a double edge sword.
