Oxycodone And Liver Damage

ive had 6 shoulder replacements and given 15 mgs. of oxycodone for 10 months.could this cause liver damage /? you so much !!

I've had to take Oxy 30 mg 5x's a day for the last nine years and I have my liver, kidney functions checked twice a year, and they are fine. I've been on pain management prior to the Oxy for many years and was on hydros and it started to eat my stomach lining, they changed me over to Oxy when I started throwing up blood. So as far as I personally know, I've been on Oxy 30's for close to 9 yrs now and I am fine. But I take them strictly as directed though, I don't abuse them or overuse them. So hope this helps. :)

Most medications are processed by the liver, so there is some slight risk of liver damage, but it is very rare for it to happen, especially if you're taking straight Oxycodone and not the medication that combines it with Acetaminophen.
