Oxycodone 60mg

Hello, I am a long time user of oxycodone . Have been prescribed pain mess for around 8 years. I am 35 years old and lead a fairly active lifestyle . I've had many surgeries in which I suffer from serious constant pain. I've tried many ways of coping with the pain but the only thing that really works and enables me to function semi normally is oxycodone. Right now I'm using 30mg Oxys. Prescribed 180 a month, but always come up short as I need more than what's prescribed to my high tolerance . I've tried the extended release tablets in 80mg and they do not work at all, and I feel like they are way worse for my body . I've tried dissolving them in water and soda. And they turn to this glob of rubbery stuff and it seems like it would just build up in my body and not help with the pain . So, my physician recommended, since I'm constantly needed more meds way before I'm supposed to he recommended getting a higher dose. He said how about upping the dose to 60mg. I said I didn't know they make 60s. I know they make the time release in 60 80s. But not sure if they make the oxycodone or roxi like in higher than 30mg. And also if they did make them, would I be able to find them? I've found conflicting confusing info on this topic so I thought I'd reach out and look for answers . Thanks. Dan

Hello, Dan! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in so much pain.

No, the regular release tablets are only available in a maximum of 30mgs. Anything higher than that is only available in the time released formulations.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

However, your doctor could prescribe a couple different dosages of the regular release, if they feel comfortable doing that.

Is there anything else I can help with?
