Oxycodone 20 Mg K57 Vs Np14 (Page 2)

I don't usually count the pills when I pick up my Rx. This time I did & felt a difference in the thickness. Some are marked NP on one side & K57 on one side & blank on the other. I'm assuming they're from different Mfg Co's but don't like to assume with my pain pills! Also, is it normal practice for Pharmacies to mix?
Do not get either NP or OP 20 or other strength. Those are garbage and have no narcotics. Get the oxy 20 k57 or the A 50. They are good generics.
Hope that helped u.
Guys, really. I have to post this because this entire thread is so dumb. Y'all are all pretty stupid. First off, let's clear things up. Let's start with the basics. There are brand names and generics(chemical name- produced by other companies.) Brand names, example- OxyContin, should contain 100%. Generics, using the same example, oxycodone extended release tablets, by law contain at least 80% of the brand names chemical although good companies, such as Activist products I feel are equal to brand name. Don't believe me. Try ordering in a real Pfizer(brand name) 2mg alprazolam tablet. Compare it to a yellow Actavist 2mg generic. You will understand. There is little difference. Try a Sandoz(generic 2mg alprazolam) and you will see some companies do get away with less than 100%. If it was less than 80% they wouldn't be busy as stated in another post. This stuff is regulated.
Now, we will discus pain pills. Pain medications bonded with oxygen are generally stronger than ones bonded with hydrogen. Examples- oxymorphone(brand name-Opana). Hydrocodone/acetaminophen(Tylenol)(brand names vary. Vicodin, Norco, Hycet). Although Norco was popular for having 325mg acetaminophen, I believe all have dropped from 500mg to 325mg.
Now. Oxycodone 20 mg tablets. First off, the pill scored K57 is a generic as well as the pill scored NP 14. The only difference I have noticed is that the NP 14 are very hard. And do not cut or break easy like the instant K 57. However, since they are both generics. Only a lab will tell you the exact difference.
With this being said. Let's use common sense as well. Humans are all different. We all metabolize differently. So the bonding agent used by the generic companies as well as the way the tablet is pressed plays a large role in medication and its effects on your body. Example. Name brand OxyContin was initially scored OC and the other side had the mg number. But now, they have made an abuse proof version to control the addictive quality. The generic is now scored OP and the mg. They are virtually impossible to abuse by any method and many people report they don't work as well most likely because they are hard as a rock. Like the NP 14's are. I hope this sheds lights on the topic.
RP = Rhodes pharmicuticals, just the company that makes them.
They are both generic, stop talking like you know what your talking about. Oxycodone is the chemical name so if your bottle doesn't say Percocet, roxicet,ECT then it's all "generic"
They are both generic, stop talking like you know what your talking about. The brand name is Percocet, which is copyrighted. Hence why everyone else calls it by its chemical name (oxycodone)
Yes its bullcrap they take a person money the k-57 are so much better then the 14s suck
There is no difference in the strength, or size of either. However, the NP 14 is shaped differently, and is a firmer pill and not as soft as other versions of this class of pill. The imprints vary because the RX comes from various companies who manufacture the pills and each company has a different mark to distinguish a brand/generic version. If you are taking them responsibly, there is absolutely no difference in the strength, it is very illegal for these companies to not strictly control doses perfectly to keep consumers safe in case of overdose and or to treat chronic and severe pain. If you are chasing a buzz, don't. Oxycodone is highly addictive and altering or abusing these pills puts you and your health at serious risk.
Oxy is highly addicting even froma script of 60 if youre removed it can cause worhdarws sweats cold and hot flashes sleep deprivation ect... i recomend if you go this route from experience a disabled vet pending a neck and back surgery as well as lumbar aurger and 4 others that i was retired before they operated be cautious and start with a percocet then work up seriously if you take extended no matter the pain the withdraw with pain is something horrific. So keep it as low as tou can.
I know this is an old post but I was reading on it and that is I'm sorry but just NOT TRUE. The fda allows the company's to not put a certain amount of medicine in pills. Different company's have different amounts. The fda regulates it so of course a 20 mg pill is not gonna have only like 10mg but it could be a big difference like 16 mg vs k 57's could have 20-22 mg. I myself have had both and there was only ONCE I had the NP and it was complete s***. I was so mad and will never settle for that again. Now I always check to make sure my pharmacy is going to use k 57.
@Post #7,
Omg, first of all they're called oxycodone not hydrocodone. And who are you to call people Junkies? You don't deserve to have a ****ing computer, a cell phone or a tablet in front of you for you to type and post.
Of course brands make a difference, because our body chemistries are different. Just like brands of food, we can all get a box of macaroni with the same ingredients ,but it might react different to us depending on many different factors. Unfortunately we just have to keep trying and figure out which things work best for us and keep fighting. For me absolutely 100% the NP 14 are less effective.
Cigs , booze & opiates are possibly the only drugs that u definitely need some kind of help when trying to kick the habit and it is my opinion that the only one that the government doesn't back is the hardest to get off of and very few people go cold turkey u will need more than a shoulder to cry on
What is the differents in the oxy that's little gray and has np14 and the big white ones that has rp on one side and 20 on the other side
Thank you. Give it a chance! Who cares. Same s*** in it.
True story. It's a never ending battle we're fighting without a doubt. And it's very true that not all people buying on the street are junkies. I am currently without insurance and can't even afford the visits yet alone too fill them ect. Many sleepless nights, the quality of life I'm currently living is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemys. I'll wait till I'm in such pain I can't walk the dog or even get out of bed before I take anything and even then I'm only taking half of what I was prescribed. The prices on the streets are getting to were it's near impossible too be a pill head unless your rich lmao. I wish it was as simple as being a junky!? I could go to treatment or detox and life would be manageable. People are quick to judge and throw accusations about something they know nothing about. If they could go through even a couple days of what I've been dealing with for a few months now they'd be on the street asking friends what they can find as well.
I got my 20mg today and they looked different it has Lil blue n red spots in them have anybody seen those before I got mines from CVS
White ones are 5mg. 10 mg is pink, 15mg is green, 20 mg is like a greyish color and blue ones are 30mg pills.....
You don't NEED suboxone or anything to get off opiates if you're a "junkie". Just someone you love who knows what you're going through while detoxing who will take care of you and some will power, maybe just move out of buying range completely, but it is possible. 100%
I was on k57 20mg oxycodone for Theracic spine with three bulging disc. Went to pharmacy and received the NP 14 and I seemed to have a better reaction to these verses the K57s. I think it depends on overall tolerance level for u get relief from both manufactured medications.
yes it is true that the NP ones are weaker than the k ones.. The NP is a Pharmaceutical that is generic brand and the no Name Brand ones can make it up to 20% less of the medicinein it. Where the name Brand can only do 2% Less in it! Thats why they feel less potent than a k 20mg
