Oxycodone 10 325 Tab U17

Hi, my name is Kelly & I'm new here. I've been in PM going on 2 years now for a Spinal cord injury w/ 8 diagnosis to my spine. Started off with Percocet 5 & am now at 10-325 4xd. My Dr. is talking about switching to a stronger pain med due to me building a tolerance on the Perc 10's. I don't truly know what "pill" will be next... I hate these pills but it is reality. I am on several other meds as well. My question today is~ the brand of Percocet I have been getting from the only Pharmacy I've ever gone to are the U17's. Can anyone give their opinion- if they have had this specific "brand"? Before I give mine, I would love to hear what others have to say regarding this brand. I know there are so many brands out there & Watson, I think disappeared. Thank you for reading my post & hope to hear back!

Hi David and thank you for replying. I fully agree with all that you wrote. I only take this medication in hopes for pain release. I do know I have built a tolerance whuch saddens me but I have to face reality. This certain brand is quite different than my other prescriptions and I have noticed that it does not help in with my pain as much, maybe releaving it at a 10%, if that! That was why I was asking for some other's opinions but i do know everyone is different. Yes, our brains are a chemist, most defiantly~ I truly want off of these pills; however I don't see that in the forecast... Thank you once again fir your response...

Hi Kelly,
While I've never taken this specific brand, I do want to offer my two-cents worth on gauging reviews between one manufacturer's generic/brand to another and why trial and error is the only way to know for certain what works best and what doesn't:
[1] Each pill will have a different set of binders and fillers that may affect bioavailability and/or subject certain individuals to more or less side effects (particularly those with hypersensitivities). Many people who do have hypersensitivities may not even know it until they try something new or take something long enough to notice a discernable pattern of reactions.
[2] Despite other's experiences on a specific brand/generic, your experience is subject to differ, as we all have different body chemistry going on at different times; and different perceptions of what is effective or not depending on our own unique levels of pain & tolerance.
With all that said, I hope you continue to benefit from whatever medication(s) you're on, despite how other patients might feel about them. The placebo effect from anticipating a certain outcome can't be disregarded either. Our brains are like chemists too.
Wishing you all the best~
