Hello, Jason! How are you?

It should not be used pas the expiration date on the bottle. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Liquids tend to degrade faster than solid forms of medications and on of losing efficacy they can ferment or sour, which could make someone ill if they take it.

Is there anything else I can help with?
