Other Names For Nabumetone

I know Nabumetone has been developed by Beecham and it's available under numerous brand names, such as Relafen, Relifex, and Gambaran but none of these are available through my patient assistance program. Please list all available name brands that you know of so that I can see if I can get a refill of my prescription.

Hi Sandra,

According to nih.gov, brand name Relafen is no longer on the market. However they go on to note that "generic alternatives may be available" - So I'm thinking it might just be a good idea to talk with your doctor about a generic option if that's the only thing available. The information on Relafen's availability was said to be last reviewed/officially verified by nih.gov back on 09/01/2010 (with no recent updates on their website of anything changing). I also have yet to come across any other brand names that are available here in the US, outside of what you already mentioned. Relifex appears to be a UK-based brand and Gambaran also has references linking it back to being a brand name in Belgium/Luxembourg/France.

Does anyone know what names the other brands of Nabumetone go by?
