taking steroids for tooth pain after 4 teeth and root canal 3 months ago. I am still in excruciating pain and and on clindamiacin for infection. NOTHING is working and Im ready to shot my head off!

I am very sorry to hear what you are going through and I hope your pain is starting to ease.
That said, the steroids can help with swelling and in that respect can help reduce pain, but they are not a regular pain reliever and will not work like one.
Have you tried talking to your doctor to see if they can give you something else?
