With the advent of ObamaCare, there are many plans available that people can now apply for and the cost varies according to your income, thus if you're low income or have no income, you may qualify for completely free coverage.
You need to search for the insurance website in your state, or search on the federal site to see what is available.
Another alternative is to contact the social work department of your nearest large hospital, they usually keep a list of resources just for people like you that don't have coverage, or who have limited coverage. They can help you apply for assistance, find doctors and etc.
Does anyone else have any advice or ideas to add?
