Orizin Side Effects

i had diarrhoea n doctor prescribed me to take orizin tab..once i take within 12 hours i had my lips,gum and tongue swollen and itching.i cnt sleep at night even.i had only a small amount of carbohydrate food.may i know the reason...shall i discontine using the antibiotic or still go on with it.if it becums resistant then..i took only one tab at bed time.

If you had such swelling, it likely means that you are allergic to this medication and shouldn't take it. It contains the active ingredient Ofloxacin and its normal side effects include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Such allergic reactions usually just tend to get worse, with repeated ingestion of the culprit substance, so you need to make sure that you don't take this, again, in the future, either.

You'll need to see your doctor for a different antibiotic.
