Orange Pill Abg And 60... Is This Morphine Or Oxy
UpdatedI picked up my script and was given different pills. my script is for oxycontin but i think these are morphine. They are small orange round pills with ABG on one side and 60 on the other... what are they?? any help would be great.
Yes, Greg is correct. The same answer was also posted in a related discussion thread. It seems like this is commonly being mistaken as Oxycontin when it is in fact Morphine Sulfate CR 60 mg. Please feel free to post back if there are any other questions or information to add about this.
AS A RULE OF THUMB ms& oxy after ten mg is oxy goes 10 20 40 80 160 mg ms cotin would be 15 30 60 and 100 mg
purple or dark blue size of ms cotin 30 mg blank on one side S193 on outher was with my ms 100 mg it may be 30 mg ms mistake any one know thanks
If you cut the orange pill in half you will disable the extended release mechanism and all 30mg(aprox for half) will hit you at once rather then constant release
They do not make Oxycontin 160mg pills anymore. They are banned. 80mg is the highest dose.
i picked up my rx for morphine 60 mg er.....they are a different color than what i have been taking....they both have abg and 60 on them...but one is orange. one is pink...has anyone else seen this....the pharmacist says it is the same strength....any help would be greatly appreciated...
the pink pill is manufactured by a company called Rhodes Pharmaceutical. They are 60 Morphine Sulfate ER or Generic MS-Contin!
is 60 mg. morphine the same as 60 mg. oxycontin or do they have differant properties
Two different medications. Oxycontin is oxycodone and morphine is morphine. Also they both show up as a different result on drug tests.
I was taking abg 60 morphine and now I'm taking a pill that says m8 is it still morphine and is it as strong as the other pill
a friend of mine took 1/2 of a 60 mg morphine ER and took the other half an hour later. How long til the pill wears off?
I think I was just stupid and took 1/4 of a peice of a morphine 60mg pill after reading discussions of taking the whole thing because of it being delayed release... i take about 5-6 10/325mg norco daily so have a tolerance to strong pain meds but was scared to take a whole 60mg morphine pill. am i done for? should i be going to er?
If you have a tolerance to other opiates you most likely will be fine just stay calm and try to stay awake until it feels like the medicine is wearing off to be on the safe side. Because as you may already know that you could possibly OD and could possibly stop breathing while asleep or even asperate in your sleep.
thank you...i did talk to a nurse who said it would be fine too but i really do want to sleep even an hour or so after taking it now... just a slight drowsiness though so i think i will close my eyes now and be okay.
Please repost on here tomorrow so I will know u r ok please.
wow. thank u...i am okay. i use to be a medical assistant and should of known better...i was just in too much pain, (very infected tooth and hurt back) that was nice of you to care. i just read my posting and was so out of it, it looks like anyone SHOULD be concerned. thank you again
just wondering..first, are you alright, and secondly, did you feel anything from the piece of morphine..thanks
Hi. Sorry was on a mini vacation... Yes I did feel it but just kinda made me a little drowsy and took away the pain... Just not the same as norco for me.

I have two questions..One: I have been taking 2-60mg of ms contin plus 2 10mg norco for breakthrough pain for 18 years for a spinal cord injury. I have been stable on this dose. My doctor retired. Now I am seeing a newer pain (2yrs) management doctor. I was given morphine this month..They said it had something to do with my insurance and that ms contin & morphine are one in the same..I beg to differ?? I take my ms at 4am & 4pm & 1 or 1 & half norco abt 10 or 11am sometimes taking a half before bed... Never taking more than these 4 pills a day for pain for 18 years... And I am in severe pain, crawling out of bed pain..I noticed right away that the morphine was not kicking in & relieving my pain..Two hours later I was taking a norco, and an hour after that another one, and finally I could walk, but still in pain..What is this morphine?? I want the doc & insurance company to fix my meds by the next refill...Now here is my other problem, as you read I walked into the new docs office stable. He kept my meds the same for 6 months, then boom, one visit said he did not want me taking norco..I continued..I made my last prescription last 4 months (it was the most painful winter of my life, thoughts of suicide entered my mind, but I have family & never will hurt them) then last may I called the office & said I need my meds for the breakthrough pain..Dr filled it...Then 2 months ago cut it in half & said make 25 last 30 days...Is he afraid of the government? Or trying to control me & hurt me? I am stable, I take only what I mention, I'm 59 female, I don't drink or do drugs.. My body is suffering now, not only from the pain, but now I have unexplained weight gain, not sleeping & how he treats me in the office, is giving me ptsd..No really all I can think about is am I going to suffer through another winter? My other doctors are very concern with, is he treating my pain? I don't want to bad mouth him...But am at a loss for help in southern oregon...I have read his reviews & this seems to be a pattern...Is he afraid of his lic or controlling me for some sick reason..I don't want to think he is a bad person, I have always been loyal to my docs, if I did not care for them I would leave, but this was back in the early 80's..I did not take pain meds then & had found very good doctors for myself, my mom & children..We had a new hospital come into our valley 2015, buy the local hospital & boom..Doc started retiring...And the rest seem scared?...Most people who need pain management do not have help in this valley anymore...Please, any advice is welcome...
They do make 160 mg oxy. Still. My wife and I get them. Alabama on 07/14/2016. Was taking morphine then opana which insurance didn't cover, so now these.
Please don't take other people pills,, it could be harmful to your health....Always consult we with your doctor about all medication before taking....
Your fine. The best way to use that pill would to take it and as it wears off take one off your norcos and it will bring the 60 right back up to 12/hrs every time it wears out take one norco.
I have been taking 200mg of Kadian twice a day, and Oxycodone as needed for 15 years. I have never asked for more or stronger meds. I have never asked for them early. Then 2 weeks later I gave a u/a that came back pos. for codeine. I have NEVER taken codeine. Pain management in Meadville, Pa. told me "no more meds for you." How could I have had a positive result for something I did not take? I asked for another evaluation and was told the DEA said no. Is there anything I can do? This pain is almost unbearable. I now live on my couch.
Just wanted to let u know ur Dr is perscribing Percocet 3/4xs a day as a breakthough that's 5mg oxycodone and 375mg of tylonol... a breakthrough medication is time released also know as er (extended release) morphine however is the breakthrough medication and rhe percs are instant release you may want to recheck with ur Dr. That ur using the medication correctly my opinion is that if ur taking percs 3/4xs a day u might consider asking ur Dr to give u the (greens) 15mg oxycodone so u would only need it 1x maybe 2xs a day max then take a morphine in between the oxycodone... relax im sure that was the true hidden question u had. Not to be rude or this to be taken outta context but I believe that if you only wanted to know where to have surgery u wouldn't have mentioned the medication (wink) it's all good hope everything works out may u find a great surgeon and not need the medication any more
Actually they're a pink color not orange. You might be thinking of opanas which is similar in shape, size and are orange. 60mg a b g/60 is er (extended release) morphine aso known as ms. cottin
Oxycontin has changed their dosage they now are 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 60, 80. They no longer make 160mil. Ms Contin mil can go as high as 200mil.
So
Is it safe to
Take half of a 60 or not ? I've heard it all could release and cause a OD but my 60 is too strong and I can't sleep for 24 hours after!! Pls help
Why do you think it is superior? I've recently started taking them as a replacement for opana er. Medicare will not pay for them anymore. Please feel free to let me know what type of benefits rhodes mscontin has to offer. I am truly interested.
