Oralcon Contraceptive Pills Stop Periods

Hi there... I'm on oralcon for about 8 months however recently I took antibiotics due to me having a gland lower part of my body... My last period was on 28th March and expected it in April, but today is the 8th of May and still no period... I do have pain on my breasts, plus chest burning alot... I need help, I am not throwing up but headache two days now... I don't know if it's possible to be pregnant yet I'm on the birth control, I don't mind having a baby because I'm married but need to know if these are the symptoms of pregnancy yet on contraceptive?

What antibiotic were you prescribed? Some of them can reduce the efficacy of oral contraceptives, because they affect the absorption of the estrogen in them.

Alternatively, the FDA does warn that most antibiotics will cause your cycle to become longer than normal. They can also cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

Thus, if you were engaging in intercourse, while taking the antibiotics, there could be a chance that you are pregnant.
