Opiates Followed By Subutex And In Pain Now
(Newest replies first)

i was on methadone 3x10mg plus roxicodone (oxocodone fast release) 3-5 @ 30mg/day. I stopped methadone several days ago and roxi a day and a half ago before starting subutex treatment today. I did not go into rapid w/d but feeling lousy now. I took 20mg of sub and feel a partial w/d like a weak flu and general lousiness. can't sit around and just want time to pass so I feel better. Does Anyone know if I am going to feel good anytime soon or is this or something similar in store for much longer time? will I feel better tomorrow and even further better in next coming days? please let me know as I am really doubting if I can carry this on if its going to be this way. Thanks a mil.

Well why or how. I never heard of 20mg subs..did you split them up yourself? I take buprenorphine not suboxone, subutex 8mg x 3 day. My brand of choice is Rhodes the best that's out there as far as buprenorphine, subutex goes. .. now I never took methadone or roxicone but I do know from day one I never thought if I made the wrong decision..either way all 3 are heavy medications...maybe your dose is not right..I never heard of 20mg
Re: silent cloud (# 1)
I agree!! I'm on Suboxone for pain & I guess because it's so long-acting, it's takes awhile to get in your system.
Yes, the withdrawal symptoms will gradually improve, it just takes a little time, they will taper off a little each day.
Subutex contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine and is an opiate, so it may cause similar side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation.

Does anyone else have anything to contribute?
been there - so unpleasant - that general malaise - it feels like my whole body is burning - hot baths, ibruprofen, valium if possible helps and time. just treat it like a bad flu and you will turn a corner and feel better provided your not suffering from any chronic illness good luck
you will not feel good. that stuff that you took suboxone is bad stuff and will through you into bad withdrawal. Methadone takes a long time to get out of your system. You need to get off the roxi with help of methadone then wean your self off of that. I sure hope this helps....lI've been there, it is bad new. good luck
My husband went through a similar scenario. DO NOT GIVE UP! It does get better. Give yourself at least a couple weeks; then, decide if you are having any side effects from the subutex. Purpose to strengthen your overall health, drink lots of water with a healthy diet. Hope this helps a bit.
