opana 5mg ir vs oxycodone 5 mg ir which is better for the breakthrough I am getting ready to change and the doc says it will work much better. I am hoping that is the case.

Yes, the Opana is twice as strong as Oxycodone. Each 5mgs of Opana would be equivalent to taking 10mgs of Oxycodone.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
