Let me tell you something, I WAS MOLESTED,BEATEN, AND EMOTIONALLY ABUSED AS A CHILD,and was taken away from my family by the state so I don't want to hear your whining and monipulating ways that all YOU JUNKIES HAVE, go to detox and get clean!!!!!!! I was unfortunatly in a very bad roll over car accident, my car rolled ten times down a cliff, I did not ask to be on these meds or in the condition I am in, I would trade anything to have my children back and live a normal life without popping pills everyday, so talk about who walking in who's shoes?!!

Teenagers that are partying -no thats a huge danger people should be aware of and get a lock box. I just think that all these people (you call junkies) we most of them started doing drugs for a reason...........they were molested as a child .........w/e the story, you cannot judge until you have walked in their shoes. They obviously need help and its so sad that all they would get would be some old bat like you screaming at them cuz now you cant have your pain meds for your sore a.s.s. N lady if you had 3 of your children die and you have time to sit here and get mad at the junkies cuz u dont have ur pain meds is absolutely astounding !!!!!!!!!!!

Great idea because a lot of teenagers are going into their parents medicine cabinets and having so called "pill partys" where they will all bring a med that days on the bottle will make drowsy and put them in a bowl or whatever and they don't even know what they are taking,its very scary stuff, that's why I lock mine up even around adults, cause you never know about them either, one had my pain meds stolen before. It's not fun! But I totally agree with you and I'm so happy the opana is back and hopefully here to stay, its the only thing I've found that even touches my pain. Good luck to you, and hopefully many more painless days coming your way;)

I was on vicodin 10/325 10/dayfor years,also take cymbalta. Couldn't figure out why I was so up and down,agitated,depressed. So we came to the conclusion since I had been on the vicodin so long it was ineffective for pain relief,my body began metabolising it to fast therefore w/in an hour of two of taking it my body was withdrawing wanting more,thus creating all the side effects. So we started the journey of finding what works best for me. It took a lil time but so happy to found the solution and be feeling good! I now take opana 40mg twice a day. We started with oxycontin15mg I think,did nothing so we doubled it which was still ineffective. Then started with opana20mg it took the edge of but didn't relieve pain completely, once we doubled that to 40mg it works great,sometimes on a good day I done need the second dose bcuz it works all day. Only drawback is takes about an hour to start working so I usually set alarm to take it then go back to sleep for an hour. So much better only taking 1-2 pills a day than 10+,didn't like my kids seeing me constantly taking pills and have that many around the house. These days u have to be so careful with teenagers,not that I think my son would take them but u have to consider their friends and other people. Good luck!

Have you tried Opana 30 or 40 mgs? You weren't on a strong enough dosage! As for the Vicoden, its a short acting drug, for the immediate pain relief! You need something that is going to take care of that pain. Have you tried Dilaudid? Its a pretty good pain reliever! I too, have severe horrible Fibromyalgia that literally keeps me down on my back for a few days until the worse is over with. There are several drugs out now for Fibro pain, such as Savella~works great, Lyrica, Cymbalta, Neurontin! I have tried them all, but the side effects are the worst for me, therefore I am sticking to my pain medication routine that works for me...You have to try everything you can to get the relief that is the best for you!! Good luck, don't give up, there is SOMETHING out there that will work for your pain!!

Been on 10-660 vicodin for years, started to not be as effective. Dr. put me on 2 caps. Oxycodone , total 10 mg. every 6 hrs. No relief. It was like taking aspirin. So then he changed it to Opana er 10mg. w/ opana 5mg. for breakthrough pain, again no relief. So now I'm back on the Vicodin 10-660's again because they do help some... Has anyone else just not responded to the "codone" series for pain?? I have bad fibromyalgia burning on my skin and I'd really like to find SOMETHING to give me some relief. Thank You. Sue

Percocet with Oxycodone I.E. Oxycotin with Tylenol! Nothing more...Oxycodone is Generic for Oxycotin and in MY experience, Percocet is stronger than Oxycotin. I have taken 80 mgs of Oxycotin (Since they changed the formula) and made them less potent! I can hardly tell I am taking one because my body has built a tolerance to Percocet, I take 3 10/325 @ one time to get the effects of Percocet! I LOVE OPANA 30 mgs! It works better than anything...so far! The problem with Percocet and Oxycotin is that they are fast acting opioids! Generally they only work for 3-6 hours! Opana's work for ME for about 7-8 hours...I take the Percocet for break through pain!! I cannot take Opana every 12 hours as prescribed because I cannot void! SO I take the first Opana of the day, then about 8-10 hours after I take Percocet for my night time pain relief because I am sleeping! Then when I wake up, I take my Opana...My schedule works great for me! I am so thankful my insurance pays for the Opana! Now they are changing that formulation around, I pray it works the same! There really isn't too many Opioids I haven't already tried! I HATE to hear doctors saying that Opiates don't work for Chronic pain...BULLS***! I have Chronic Pain along with Fibromyalgia...the list goes on and on...If it works for YOU, take it...Don't listen to everyone else!!

Thank you for your concern, and help though. But I do my research on any medication I put into my body, I'm not an abuser.

OH god not me its the other way around for me, the doctor put me on six 80mg oxys a day when the opanas dried up and I was taking six 40mg opana er a day and I'm just not getting any relief from the oxys they take forever to kick in and they don't last nearly as long, plus I'm getting horrible side effects. I can't wait to have my opana back.

I'm in CT and we still don't have any all the pharmacy's are still on back order, but I did talk to endo today and they did say that they have been made and shipped to the distributors so I'm crossing my fingers they get here soon, because these oxycontins are making me sick, and have horrible headaches.

I know that according to my doctor a 40mg Opana is supposed to be the same strength as an 80mg Oxycontin but, is it just me, they do not seem to be near as effective as the oxycontins and they dont last near as long. Does anyone else have this problem?

Its people like you that sniff these pills [opana and oxcycontin] that screw it up for people like me who take it the way we should, now they are coating the opanas like they did the oxcys, WHAT do you do now ? when i took the oxcys that where coated they made me sick and did not take the pain away like they did. So sniffer what do you think we should do now ? Please let me know......................
