I didn't know the risks until 3 months of insufflating 20 mg oxy morphone er the actavist brand. Which i felt had kess chubky stuff in it then the global. The 229 with the moon I started on 60 of the green g73 then the next month did 84 of the 229 and following month did 84 as well. If I stop insufflating them and eat them or switch to eating 10mg or will I be ok I? Will my lungs get back to nornmal? I had no idea it had silica and other bad things in it. Suggestions other then stopping do i need a chest exam or a breathe exam? Dud I ruin my body in such a short 3 month span actually it was 4 months one month I I've shot 4 v mg of hydrometer one through an I've drip at a localbhiso u told but now I'm trying to get the help I need I have servery problems that's why I just want to get the 20 mg ur a few times a day orally.

You are just as much a junkie as the drug seekers you so swimmingly bismirch it sounds like from your posts lol sounds like you are "getting what comes to you" as well hahaha. Have you ever considered drug users who may not have physical pain are using the pain pills to help with there mental pain. You shouldnt speak on what you dont know.

RickyBobby,
It is too bad, you are being judgemental of me, if it is my posts you are replying too. I am only talking to those who are abusing their medications, drug junkies, using it for pleasure. I have seen too many who are doing this. I also have stopped some drug smugglers, from crossing the border, those who give it to our children, young people, making them hooked on it. My brother, of 51, the youngest in our family, just died from a rare brain disease, only few get. It was punching holes in his brain, they gave him morphine, to help him mentally and for his pain. So I understand this part. I was just writing to those who brag how they don't tell their doctors they are abusing it. This is what is causing the problems for all of us. We are all losing our doctors. I, personally have two primaries disappear, suddenly on me, fear they will lose their licenses or worse, go to jail, as on doctor did, in California. We can't get what is the only thing that works for our intense pain, our medications. Most of us are now committing suicide, to get from the pain. The only thing that is keeping me from doing so, is my great faith in GOD. This is why I started my petition, my writing to the President, to try and help us all, the honest chronic pain patients, who follow our prescriptions to the tea, who are monitored, closely, by our doctors, pharmacies, to be sure we don't abuse our precious medications. So, please, write not, what you know about, criticizing someone who cares. I care for the 100 million chronic pain patients. Those with mental illnesses, have plenty of other medications, the DEA doesn't care about, to help them. Morphine, Oxycontin, and similar medications, are not for the mentally affected! If you need these things, aren't in pain, it makes me wonder? Please, go to your doctor, for your mental help, get the proper medications for it. Don't just use our medications to get "High" on, for you are causing much suffering for many, many people, dying from their pain. You must have no idea of the extreme pain all of us are suffering from, so much so, we can't care for ourselves, our loved ones, or even get out of bed, each day. Also, what are you doing to help chronic pain patient's cause, other than come on and criticize???

Please help- I have chronic pain and am on disability for a neck injury. I am currently on Opana 40 mg 2x day and Opana 10 mg 6x day. ( the Opana 40 is prescribed as oxymorphone for insurance reasons.) I am beginning to form a tolerance and am wondering if anyone knows what might be stronger than Opana. It sounds like people are having a terrible time with the new Oxycontin. Does Subutex help severe chronic pain or is that mainly used to treat abusers?

I take 125mg fentenyl with 30 mg for breakthru. I have taken everything and been on the patch for 6 yrs, same dose. I have been disabled since I was 26, I'm now 39. I tore during childbirth and have had 14 reconstructive surgeries, crohns dx, sh%# in a bag and have a 30 degree curve from scoliosis. Needless to say my pain is high.
I'm interested in opana and have a 40 but am really nervous about trying...
If it works I will ask doc to switch.
I will post my reaction for you guys.

Tapentadol has been licensed for chronic pain ( it had previously only been indicated for severe acute pain ) . It is from the the developers of Tramadol but is a much more potent opioid than tramadol. The reports so far are promising . Powerful pain relief , less nausea compared to traditional opiates/opioids , and it inhibits to an extent noradrenaline re-uptake , so may improve mood and be less sedating .

But, dear, I wonder if the medication you are writing about, is allowed by the DEA, so they will allow all chronic pain patients to take it, for doctors to prescribe it. chronicpaininthebollox. Are you in the states? For in the states, most states the DEA/FDA are taking our doctors and our medications away from us, instead of concentrating on the cartels, the junkies and the smugglers. They are attacking, oppressing all chronic pain patients, our doctors and our pharmacies, just because they think we are abusing our prescriptions, which we are not. We don't get "high" on our medications, like morphine, or abuse them. They are precious to us, they go straight to the pain, not to our heads, like junkies use to get their "highs!" But, their ignornance, not feeling the extreme pain, we all suffer, including our injured vets, so they sit and judge us. They also claim we are overdosing ourselves, but we are not. Now they are forcing many of us, to commit suicide, to get away from our horrible pain, we can never escape from. Our medications, are our last resort, to live even a close to normal life. I am writing to the president, made petitions for other chronic patients to sign, trying to make our oppression known, because of the DEA/FDA, and others who don't know what they are doing to us.

Thank you all, for reading this, for helping me, help others and may GOD bless all of you....

Always,
Marianne

chronicpaininthebollox,
You mentioned Tapentadol, as an alternative for chronic pain, which I am greatly suffering from. I am trying to care for my ex-husband, who is blind and destitute, trying to keep him off the streets. He has no one to care about him, but myself. I was on morphine for my pain, but thanks to the DEA/FDA, I lost two primary doctors, am off the morphine, for it is illegal for doctors to prescribe, now, even though it was the very last resort for my pain, after trying everthing else. I have Norco, for breakthrough but now that I can't find a doctor, who will see a chronic pain patient, I am running out of those too. I don't know what I will do. I am desperately trying to find a doctor who will treat a chronic pain patient, due to my illnesses. Someone who will find something to help me, as strong as morphine, but not an opiate. Now, you mention this medication, which I think you said is an opiate, also. But, I am wondering if it is also on the DEA's list of medciations, not to be prescribed by doctors and given by pharmacies, even though my doctors, my pharmacy and my insurance, closely monitored, me to be sure I wasn't selling it or abusing it. I never got "highs," on it, either, for it went straight to helping my pain. I was able to care for an ex-fiance' who passed away from lung cancer, thanks to the oxycontin and eventually the morphine. I was like a normal person, again, not in bed, in a fetal position, all day/night, every day of my life. I was able to pay my bills, (still am), shop for us, and now care for the ex-husband. But, my pain is getting too great and I am afraid the Norco, (7.5 mg/325 mg of the stuff in Tylenol), is affecting my kidney horribly. I am starting to have problems urinating. So, another question, will this stuff, you mention, affect any organs, negatively, too? Do you know? If not, if I do find a doctor, to help me, who won't quit on me, from being afraid of the DEA, is it on their list to make doctors from prescribing it. Also, I wonder about subtex, or the medication like it, and opana. I see others write about these helping the extreme pain, us chronic pain patients are having, civilians and vets alike, but don't know if they are allowed to be prescribed. So, if you know, or anyone here, please let me, know. I only wish someone lived near me, in Sierra Vista, AZ, who knows a doctor, who will see me, for my conditions and have something that will actually help my pain, like the morphine used too. I didn't feel high, it went directly towards relieving my pain, so I can do things non sufferers can do, especially care for others. If anyone has any information, for me, I will be happy to read it. Most grateful, too.

I also have a petition and write to the president, on behalf of the oppression, caused by the DEA/FDA, of doctors, chronic pain patients and our pharmacies. I've lost two primary doctors, for fear they would be put in jail or lose their licenses, or both, just because they are trying to stop our pain, when nothing else works for us. My petition is here:

petitions.moveon.org/sign/stop-the-judgement-of?source=c.em.cp&r_by=10582339

And I write to the president here, on his "Front Porch," website, where he wants to hear from all of us, how we are doing. I have been writing many emails to him, from his site, on behalf of all of us, who are losing our doctors, our medications, thanks to the ignorance and poor judgement of the DEA. They should be concentrating on the abusers/junkies, the cartels and the smugglers, instead of innocent doctors, patients and pharmacies. They have no clue of our extreme pain, including our vets, injured in wars, trying to save our country. They just judge us. So, here is that site, to write the President:

whitehouse.gov/my-front-porch?utm_source=email&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=economy

Please, if you have chronic pain, or know someone who is suffering terribly, or just want to help me, get the word out, about our oppression of us, our doctors and our pharmacies, please go to these sites, sign my petition and write to the president. We need to get known our extreme suffering and how the DEA/FDA is stopping what has been helping us, so much. We all need to be heard, for the more we are heard, known about our suffering, the less we will be judged as junkies, but real patients with real pain, stopping us from even from eating, without suffering.

Thank you, all, for the information, you can give and for helping me get people to know about our suffering and how we are losing our doctors, our pain medications.

May GOD bless you all....

Always,
Marianne

I can only say that the Morphine IR 15mg vs Opana 10 mg has worked much better for me for breakthrough pain and that the Opana worsened my stomach issues as well.. Hope that helps.. The only problem is if I don't need the IR for pain I haven't been taking it but then start feeling mild withdrawal symptoms...even taking my OxyContin 60 mg twice day.

I was prescribed 80 mg Oxycontin 3 times a day for Chronic pain as well as Rheumatoid arthritis for 12 years and about 2 1\2
Years ago my Doctor put me on 40 mg ER tablets Oxymorphone & after about 5 week of taking 3 a say every 6 hours, I was seriously thinking about asking my Dr to put me back on 80 mg OC's because I had a appointment the very next day. at bedtime I took my 3rd tablet for that day & out of no where it sounded as if a train was rushing through my house ! I never have Overdosed or came close to doing so ...I came within a nano second of calling 911 but i didnt, i rode it out ~What happen was it took around 6 weeks for the Oxycodone to totally not cling to my receptors in my brain & when they my receptors was stripped of any other opiates, but believe me it's worth the wait.

I started having pain in my right ankle and heel in 1999. It continued to get worse I was given codiene w/ aspirin back then. knew aht tylenol would do to my organs. In 2001 I had to quit a great job because my foot swelled and I could not put any pressure on my foot. the 60's 4 x's a day helped. in 2010 I was told that pain meds w aspirin are off the shelf so had to take codiene sulphate 60 mg and buy my own aspirin. ftare 2 months, pharmacy tells me they cant get just the codiene and switched to tabs. 10 mg x 4 a day. After getting over nausea, they worked. I always needed something that I could take when hurting and be ok in 15-30 minutes. In 2012, my doc says the admin of the corporation says all their docs must get rid of patients taking controlled meds. he cut me down to 90 instead of 120 a month for 1 month and then tells me I have to go to pain management. I thought finally I am going to a place that can prescribe what you need to really help you. i went from tabs to the lowest time released morphine 2 x a day. no help. then tried everything but at a low mg. he never would stick with one to see if a higher mg might do the trick. he ended up with opanas 30 er. at first they would help for maybe an hour IF i was not doing anything. Now its 2 years later and he wont let me go back down to tabs. I tried tabs for a week a while back to see if they still worked and they do. I could not be completely honest with them for the fear of being kicked out even though I timed it so even a U/A would show only opana. has anyone else been stuck on something we know is strong but in order to try to work any kind of job or move around during the day. i need an IR and they will not here of it. they try all of this toxic crap that really hurts my gut or I read about it and see the damage it will do and am not stupid enough to take some an said that destroys my internal organs. looking for some one that has been able to go in reverse if the old pills worked and how they were able to get some one to go along with getting off the strong er crap. thanks, rocks

Most likely, no! The new pana 30 er is time released and most of it will be destroyed form acid in your gut. The avaerage mg you will get so I have heard is about 4mg out of 30. plus if you need a med that will work when you need it to, dont count on this new formula to help you at all. methadone to cause kidney and liver failure if you have been on it very long. Some folks dont care if they die from something that is supposed to help but I do. keep it simple and Do NO HARM mr and mrs. doc!

Got news for ya, You are an addict. Try going one day without your pills. Not to mention, opana isnt designed for nerve damage so your taking the wrong meds....but you already know that dont you. #hidingbehindascript
