I started with percocet 10/650 2x per day then up to 6x per day because i was still in pain. I am trying to get back to my active life without being in pain. I was taking too many pills with acetamin. My Doctor switched me to 30mg ms contin 2x per day, it was the first thing that worked it took the pain away (even through the night -into the morning.) Also 2-5/325 2x per day for the breakthrough pain. (I do not have ins. right now and 5/325 is cheaper than 10/650). But the ms contin was making me sweat really, really bad, so bad I had to ask my doctor to switch me to something else. He switched me to oxycontin 40mg 2x per day and oxycodone 30mg 2x per day. The day after I got them prescribed I applied for health insurance that would cover my doctor visits and prescriptions. The oxycodone took the pain away but it doesn't last as long as the oxycontin. The oxycontin at Target came to over $500.00 (like $575.00) The pharmacist told me about a coupon from purdue that took about $200.00 off. I just went to their website and printed it. Then I realized they were imprinted with op on them. These op pills are upsetting my stomach. Although I can function the pain is soothed. Something is not right. In two weeks I will have insurance so I won't have to pay soo much and I am going to try Walgreens I read that they have the oc pills. (Usually, a pharmacist will tell you the generic pill has exactly the same ingredients as the name brand it might be a diff color and a whole lot cheaper, but in this case I read that the ingredients in the pill are different. I think I am going to feel a whole lot better next month. Unfortunately I can't afford to get a prescription for the 40mg oc/ not op pills filled at Walgreens until my ins. is in effect. I also read rite aid has them too

The tablets with the OC marking are not being manufactured, anymore. If there are any places that still have them in stock, they can still dispense them, but once the supply runs out, that will be the end of them.

And, at this time, there are no generics available of the Oxycodone in a time released formulation, which is why the others may not work as well for your pain. In that dosage, it is only available in a regular release formulation.
