Omnacortil 10 Mg

Hi all,
this is pavan. My mother is using this omnacortil 10mg tablets since last 10 years. One doctor suggested this for joint pains. If my mother stop taking this. Is it leads any side affects. Plz help me thanks.

Our bodies will adjust to any substance that we ingest regularly for a long period of time, from a regular cup of coffee to a medication, so yes, if she stops taking it abruptly, there will be some withdrawals effects.

She may experience nausea, chills, fever and rebound pain.

Has she spoken to her doctor regarding whether or not she needs to continue the medication and the possibility of getting off of it?

Hi Verwon, thanks for your response. my mother suddenly got high sugar. So, the doctor who given omnacortil asked her to stop taking. Then she catch high fever and leg pains heavily and cough. So, I had taken my mother to chennai vijaya hospital and doctor suggested her to take defcort 6 mg half tablet for 20 days after 1/4 tablet for another 20days and stop it. But he told she has tronstills. So, currently she is taking medicine for tronstills by contacting ENT. But now it almost 3 weeks still she suffering from cough. But ENT doctor doesn't given any details about tronstills. Can u help me what should we do now?

Can u help me which doctor I have to consult to solve my mother problems. I presume that tronstills also came becz of omnacortil tablet only.

hi i am taking omnacortil 40mg for the past two months for severe cold.then last week doctor told to stop it considerable half half one week quarter quarter one week and then stop.i am getting stomach ache.

my mother was recentlyprescribed omnacortil 10.Now her face is swallon.On cosulting the doctor we are told that it is due to the drug.He told us that after she stops the medicine things will get normal.Her pains are cosiderably reduced.Any suggestion regarding her swallowen face ??

I have been facing severe pain in both legs,fingers,neck and some other parts of the body. I have RA Factor positive. Previous doctors advised some medicines with pain killer tablets(as and when required). But i had to take pain killer tablet regularly to avoid severe pain. now i visited another doctor, who prescribed some vitamin tablets+OMNACORTIL-10 . Dossage is 3 tablets for 5 days, 2 tablets for 5 days and 1 tablet for 30 days. After taking above medicine, my pain has been substantially reduced.
My query is whether this tablet is a steroid with the chance of any side-effect on my body? if i stop taking after one month, shall i face similar pain again?
kindly advise.

im taking omnacortil sice 3month and i have experienced rounded face,acne,dehydration.i just want to know that how long these side effects long,if i stopped the medicine?plz help me

On the advice of doctor, my wife took Omnacortil 60mg for 5 days and later on 20mg for 10days. It is stopped for the last 2 days. Since yesterday she is complaining pain in her leg bones. Is the side effect of the drug and if so how long it persists? Can you pl. advice how to reduce the pain also.

hi my son is suffering from wheezing , so a docter suggested this omnacortal 10 , he used it he is getting cure , there are side effects like face is bulging etc to avoid face bulging what my child should do

I am suffering from redness on my body specially on arms neck and on my legs .Doctor described me predisone 40 mg first day and reduce to half next following days .After completing the course the next day start having the rash again . Please help me but I am suppose todo

When taking
Omnocortil, you must not stop immediately after feeling better. There is a proper dosing schedule to maintain so that your body can resume making it's own cortisol before you're completely off the drug. You must taper your dosage down by 5mg every 3-7 days and you will not feel the side effects which all of you have described above. So if you take 40mg for 7 days, take 35 mg for 3 days, 30 mg for 3 days, 25 mg for 3 days, etc. When you arrive at 20 mg, reduce 5mg every week until you are completely off of it.

Hi,
My daughter has cough problem very often. She has alergy with milk product. She has problem of breathing during this. Doctor Prescribe for Omnacortil 10 two times a day for 5days. She get relif in breathing with this medicine. What the side effect of this medicine. She is 3year 5month Old.
Is there any side effect of this medicine.

I have a hypersensitive nose. I sneeze every morning like, 20-30 times and constantly blow my nose and end up wasting a lot of tissues and handkerchiefs. My doctor put me on omnacortil 10mg for a month to see what happens and it turned out that the cure was very much temporary. now i use the medicine occasionally, whenever i feel irritation in my nose. Is it safe to use it so often??? P.S. - My doctor told me the reason for my hypersensitivity to be because of deviation in my nasal septum (which was found through the X-ray of my face.)
