Omeprazole Affect On Liver

I have taken omeprazole for 18 years. My system and blood tests all seem ok. My son says I should stop and take apple vinegar before each meal to save my liver.

Actually, having taken it for that long, the concern isn't your live, but the risks of hip fractures. PPIs are known to cause them with long-term use, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, flatulence and stomach pain.

However, there is nothing that proves apple cider vinegar to work. Thus, the best thing to do would be to speak to your doctor about your concerns and see what they recommend.
