The actual name of the medication is Levothyroxine Sodium, that doesn't mean it actually contains any significant amount of sodium, that just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, you may see some other medication generic names followed by Hydrochloride, or Sulfate. This medication is used to treat thyroid disorders.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, mood changes, and hair loss.
