Nur Isterate And Menopause (Top voted first)
UpdatedI use nur isterate since 2010. Lately I have some menopause simptoms. I am 43. What else can I use as contraception? Should I be without any contraceptive

The U.S. FDA does not recommend hormonal contraceptives for anyone older than 40, due to the increased risk of some types of cancer.
Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms.
There are other contraceptives you can use, such as condoms, or spermicides.
Is there anything else I can help with?
I've been on nur - isterate for 26 years. I am 46 years old and started spotting the last 4 years on and off. I would like to know if being in menopause or perimenopause will affect how the contraceptive works.
