Np 15 = 30mg Oxicodone

Serious spine issues. Too many to list, multiple sugeries, multiple needed surgeries and failed surgeries. My doc prescribes 30mg of oxicodone/roxi whatever. My pills have always been blue.
This time, my insurance company decided I was taking too much, lowered my dose and gave me some white NP 15 generic brand equal to 30mg. Load of crap.

They do not help with the pain AT ALL. I tried taking 3 at one time. No relief. I feel it's a plecebo. I'm sweating, in pain, and no one gives a rats ass. This medicine allows me to work. I can not afford to live on disability.
WTF - stop screwing with healthcare!

If you can switch your pain meds, at this point, go with vicodin or something that works other then the new fake 30mg of oxi/roxicodone.

Your insurance company cannot change your prescription, only your doctor can do that. If they won't cover the prescribed amount, your pharmacy may only provide you with the amount they will cover, unless you pay for the rest out of pocket, or they may contact your doctor to have your prescription adjusted accordingly.

Your insurance company also does not control what generic you receive from the pharmacy that fills your prescription, that is dependent on the pharmacy, and whatever generic their distributor had available for the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply.

The tablets with the NP 15 marking on them are manufactured by Zydus Pharmaceuticals, and they do contain 30mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. NDC: 68382-0797 (The text that is highlighted in blue is clickable, and will take you to a page with more information.)

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

However, we are all different, so what works for one person may not work for you, and vice-versa.

Have you informed your doctor of the problem? They may need to adjust your dose, or prescribe something else, until you can get your next refill, and make certain it is from a different manufacturer.
