Nortriptyline And Memory Problems 2 Weeks After I Stopped
UpdatedI had taken nortriptyline for 10 days, but I had too many side effects so my Dr. weaned me off. Now 2 weeks later I'm better except for huge memory lapses. Has anyone else experienced this?

No, that is not a typical side effect of taking this medication, or from stopping it, according to FDA reports. They are listed as typically including issues such as nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, mood swings, and dry mouth.
Are you on any other medications? Has there been any change?
I've lost 12 pounds because hard to swallow for 3 days
Yes Nortriptyline caused significant memory impairment for me while taking it. The drug has a fairly long half life so may still be in your system after 2 weeks. It also takes time for your brain to adapt after stopping a medication. This drug has anticholinergic properties which are well documented as causing cognitive impairment. However any antidepressant can cause such problems: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5002481. Not everyone will have memory issues of course.
