The FDA lists this medication as containing Acetaminophen, Chlorpheniramine and Phenylephrine. The typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth.

So, there is nothing in this to cause sleepiness that would necessitate its being taken at night, unless that's when your doctor has instructed you to take it.
