No Period For 4 Months After Taking Minastrin 24 Fe

I started taking minastrin 24 few about 6 months ago. I spotted irregularly for the first 2 months but I have had no period since. I've been without a period for 4 months. I even take the four inactive pills and still don't start. I thought the inactive pills were for " period time ". Am I wrong? I hope nothing is wrong.

I have been taking minastrin 24 fe for 7 months now. Last month, I only had brown discharge on the last day. This month, I did not have anything at all. I have never missed a pill and always take it at the same time. What does this mean?
I started taking Minastrin in September 2014 and have not had a period since. I've talked to many people and they say that is abnormal but I know that BC effects everyone differently. I tend to not take the iron pills because of the lack of a period happening.
I started taking Minastrin in February and haven't had a period since. I took a birth control test and it was negative, so this may be a new side effect?
I have been on Lomedia24fe for almost 3 months now. The first two months I had no period, cramping or spotting. This month I am Half way done with the pack and I have started getting really bad cramps, bloating and brown/pink discharge, tender breasts and I am extremely moody. Is this normal? I haven't missed any pills this month, I was on an antibiotic for an ear infection and sinus infection and I am also under a lot of stress. Should I get a pregnancy test or just wait until I miss my next "period"
Phentermine has also been known to sometimes cause amenorrhea, in some women that take it. So it could also be a culprit, or it might even be due to the combination of it with your OCs.
Other side effects may include dizziness, headache, irritability, elevated heart rate and insomnia.
Is there anything else I can help with?
I take phentermine also. I agree. I think I should find a different doctor.
In that case, I'd say it's time to see a new OB Gyn. I understand you may be reluctant to switch, but if this person isn't answering your questions and helping, then they no longer deserve your business.
As to the skipped periods, what I have said still stands, some women just don't have them when taking OCs, so it is most likely nothing to worry about. Thus, only you can decide if you feel it is worth having the other tests or not.
Do you take any other medications?
My ob/gyn is never concerned with anything. He just blows me off when I want to ask him a question. My PCP however is concerned and says its not normal and if I reach 6 months without a period then I should get an ultrasound to make sure everything is OK. I'm just a little confused. I cramp periodically like I'm going to have a cycle. But never do. Not even light spotting.
Hello, Jenna! How are you?
Unless your doctor feels there is some reason to be concerned, it's most likely nothing. Some women just don't experience periods, when taking hormonal contraceptives.
Side effects may include irregular cycles, nausea, dizziness, headache, bloating, weight gain and irritability.
Is there anything else I can help with?
