No Pain Help For Oxycodone Patients
UpdatedI just came from my pain Dr.'s appt in Eastern Tennessee, who had no problem writing my prescriptions for oxycodone and oxycontin, the problem was my pharmacy or ANY pharmacy. My regular pharmacy has no oxycodone at all and I take 3 80mg oxycontin daily, all they had was 60 40mg. enough for 2 weeks. I ask both the Dr and pharmacy what do I do meanwhile? Plus after our home of the free government has removed all traces of oxy's what do I do? First they want me to go through withdraw of years and years of oxy's that worked for the nerve pain in my leg. Once I am done with that what will they do when the pain returns?? I don't get euphoria and happy times taking these pills I get rid of the pain. My doctor and I agree that this is what works, now both of us have been told too bad, we (FDA) are going to be 100% successful at ridding the Country from oxy's where you go from there is your problem. I do not even get the option to be weaned slowly from this drug or being offered another drug for pain in its place. Just hours ago I was told to see if any Dr.'s will write and fill my prescription by my Ins Co. Are they kidding? That was the first thing to go around here. I can go to rehab, but I don't abuse my meds, I use them to get rid of the pain. Not one person could tell me what I could be prescribed instead of the oxy's. I went through horrible withdraw from an antidepressant that works on pain where I couldn't move my head off the pillow without throwing up or dry heaves. It lasted nearly 20 days and I was down to taking a few little grains of the meds and putting in a capsule because without some, even if it was an extremely small amt. I was sooo sick! Any suggestions on medication stored that might work. I have had the patches and tramadol but those are in the schedule II list as not available except in small amt with the exception of cancer Pts. Any suggestions at all. If I can go from 390mg to 90mg I can have that filled. That would be 10mg - 300mg removed in one month. I can't see that happening. The pain clinics here have a max of 200mg. I think I'm in some very serious trouble here. I've fallen on dark days !

Have you ever tried Fentanyl?
It's a very potent opiate available in a patch that you change every 48 to 72 hours, depending on your pain control.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
You may want to ask your doctor about it.
I heard several insurance companies are no longer letting dr.s write scripts or won't cover oxycodone er? Is this true & is there a list of what companies are doing this? I know someone who shops goes to 3 different dr & pharmacies plus l2live ins that pay her in pills & just found a friend that she introduced to one of her drs she get 1/2 of those as well..... Here's the kicker!!!! She don't sell them!!!! She makes up stories nearly every month that they were washed or stolen & asks me for mine in to wit I've lied & stayed for months I don't take them anymore & pretend to " look" for her she tells me if I get some for her she will pay me back in double pills, basically if I'm not taking them anymore she's more then happy to give me some to help her with withdrawl, I told her about the insurance companies she says she pays cash for Rx? Won't she still get busted? lol I've had a entire spinal titanium fix except 3in neck, she has fibro & spider veins or whatever there called, she get 200 or more 3 times a month & will travel. Please is there a way to find out what insurances r no longer letting patients have oxies ???????? :)
