No Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medication

Florence SC, I am 56, have stage 3 -4 emphysema, I osteoarthritis, have been in some kind of pain since I was 5. I wore braces on my legs for years, had a hip replacement in 1997, 2. Back surgeries in 1999, the last one was a fusion. I use oxygen 24 hours a day. I was getting 90 hydrocodone 10/350 per month, but after having the shingles that effected the nerves in my brain (4th time with shingles in 8 months). I took additional medicibe to deal with the pain from the shingles. My doctor, sent me to a pain management doctor who was fired before my first visit. I have no one who will write my prescription now. Please advise if you know of anyone in my area who will help?

Ask the dr that did the referal to the pain management dr that got fired to refer you to another pain management dr. On the other hand if when you say the pain management dr you were refered to got fired before your first appointment you mean that you were fired because you took meds you weren't suppose to, I doubt you will find a pain management dr who will take you if you broke the rules of another dr. They get copies of your medical records and that info is there.
