This is an antibiotic that is most commonly used to treat UTIs.
First, I would like to state that this site is not affiliated with any medication manufacturers, this is an information only website, so this site does not have any discounts or programs that can help.
Now, the problem with trying to find assistance for a medication like this stems from several factors.
1) You need to start the medication right away and discount programs require you and your doctor to fill out an application, send in the forms and then you wait awhile, to see if you are approved and if you are, they mail you or your doctor the medication.
2) If they offer coupons, they are only for the name brand products, this means, that even after the coupon, it would cost you way more than $100 for a name brand prescription.
3) By the time any application was processed, your duration of treatment is going to be over, because antibiotics are not used long-term.
These are just some reasons why such programs are usually not available for this class of medications.
I really wish I had some way to help you.
There are two suggestions I can make.
1) While this is usually the first choice med to treat UTIs, it is not the only one that can clear them up and there other options on the market that are cheaper. You could try talking to your doctor, explaining that you cannot afford the $100 and telling them you would like to try a cheaper alternative first, such as Penicillin or Amoxicillin.
2) You could try calling around to different pharmacies and check the prices. It can sometimes vary widely from one to the other. Some clinics also have in-house pharmacies that offer sliding fee scales, so you are charged according to your income. You may want to see if you have one of these in your area.
Just as an example of the price changes, my doctor had me check the prices on Losartan, a generic blood pressure medication, in case she couldn't obtain anymore samples for me of the name brand that I have been taking.
At one store, just a few blocks from me, it is only $70 for a month's supply, at another a few blocks further away, it would be $140 and at yet another it was $176. And this was all for a month supply of the exact same dosage, it just varied that much from pharmacy chain to pharmacy chain.
