Nitrofurantoin Mono Mcr 100 Prolonged Use

i was given this drug for a uti for 1 week.how long can i safely continue this drug i f the symptoms are not completely gone? i immediately felt much better but still have some lingering discomfort after almost 1 week of treatment.i have a history of recurrent infections if antibiotics are not used for a long time.

Some people are prone to recurrent UTIs and do require this antibiotic on a long-term basis for prevention. That is something you may want to discuss with your doctor.

Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
