Nitrofurantoin How Long Does It Take To Get Into Your System

I took my second to last dosage last night, about 4 hours later I was sick and am hoping it’s not interfered in anyway, I still feel a little bit of the uti symptoms after taking my last tablet 4 hours ago (they’re less intense but still there). I’m hoping it will still get rid of the infection as it took 3 weeks to get any antibiotics that actually touched it.

No, you should have digested and used the medication, after 4 hours, so it should not create a problem.

How long were you taking it, and what was the dosage? It can take about 3 days, or so, for such a medication to take full effect and start to eliminate the bacteria that has caused the infection.

The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash.

Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?
