Nexium40 Mg And Shelcal 500mg

I am a 51 year old woman and have been suffering from reflux and have been taking nexium 40 for many years. My GP recently asked me to take calcium to improve bone health. Can you advise if there are any issues taking these together?

I was diagnosed 6 years ago with two stomach ulcers which were the non bacterial kind. My doc put me on Nexium and I became "addicted". I couldn't go 2 days without the pill even long after the ulcers had healed. My health deteriorated. I gained weight. I still couldn't eat citrus or anything spicy, even while taking Nexium. I had headaches. At one point, I lost 20 pounds in a week and a half with diarrhea that lasted 2 months. Every time I tried to stop Nexium, the heartburn was worse than it had ever been, even with two ulcers. Last month I finally decided to put everything I have into kicking the nexium out of my life. I did the cider vinegar in water when I was feeling pain and kept the tums nearby. I am now off it all and haven't felt better in 6 years. Nexium is evil. Don't start it. Stop now, while you can. I also kicked my family doctor out of my life. This is the guy who treated me for c dificile without a diagnosis and hooked me up to a heart monitor for a week but never drew a link to either illness or heart irregularity to Nexium! I think docs get a dollar for every pill we swallow.

The Shelcal is a calcium supplement, so it may cause some constipation.
