New Norco Law
UpdatedMy doctor told me that the new federal regulation for Norco Rx's requires mandatory urine drug testing be done every 6 months. Is this true?

My husband was told the same thing by our family doctor yesterday. He is taking norco for chronic back pain until his 3rd back surgery that is scheduled in May. I'm not sure it's true but he also had to give a urine sample. He said he felt like he was treated like a drug addict. I get pain medication for rheumatoid arthritis from an arthritis doctor and I haven't had to give a urine sample to get it. I'm thinking it is up to each doctor??
I have never been asked to give a urine sample and I get norcos monthly for a chronic condition. I think it's the doctor and that's all
