New Higher Doses Of Codone

I was recently told of a new medication from my physician that would help with my chronic back pain.this medicine is supposed to be eqivalent to four hydrocodones.please inform me of the name of this medication so i can research it.thank u

According to the Oxford Journal of Analytical Toxicology, Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) is reported to be approximately 4 to 6 times more potent than Hydrocodone. So this sounds like it may be one suspect as well.

However, I suppose if you were to take a high enough dose of Zohydro ER relative to whatever dose of Hydrocodone/APAP you're comparing it to, then you could easily end up taking 4x (or more) than that of IR dosages.

Zohydro ER is said to come in the following dosage strengths: 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 40 mg, and 50 mg. While the Hydrocodone - in IR combination products - comes in 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, and 10mg doses.

It sounds like Zohydro. It came out last year. It is hydrocodone extended release with no tylenol. You take one tablet every 12 hrs.
