i would like to make sure there is nothing in this i'm allergic to before taking this med.

The active ingredient in Neurontin is Gabapentin, this is an anticonvulsant that has also been shown to help wtih certain types of nerve pain.

Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness and dizziness.

As to any inactive ingredients, they can vary by manufacturer, so I can't tell you anything about those, without knowing who manufactured the ones you have.
