Hello there!
So I've been suffering in back pain because of neurofibromatosis type 1. the pain is killing especially during night time... My prime doc is on vacation at the moment, so I can't see him for pain meds until beginning of Feb.
however, I have appt with neruo doctor on jan 15. it's my first time seeing him for it due to changing from children doc to adult doc. so would this neuro doc prescribe me pain meds? or will he make me wait until my prime doc comes back from his vacation?

Most likely, your neuro will take over, that's the way it's supposed to work now under the new regulations that were put in place last year. Specialists are supposed to be the ones prescribing such medications, not your GP.
