Nerve Pain

I recently had transposition of ulnar nerve, about a month ago. I am in horrible, chronic pain. Neurontin does not seem to be working. My pain management dr mentioned Topamax. How do I deal with this constant nerve pain. It is in my left hand, little finger and ring finger.

I am very sorry about what you're dealing with, nerve pain is terrible.

What is your current dose of Neurontin?

You might do better with the Topomax, if your doctor thinks you should try it. It does work well for many people. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, alopecia, anemia, and anorexia.

Are you on any other medications?
