Nerve Damage After Shingles

I have nerve pain from shingles, what is the best compounded topical cream too use.

I really can't say, compounded creams require a prescription from your doctor and are prescribed according to what they know works best according to their experience with other patients. Thus, there is no set ingredient list. It can vary from doctor to doctor.

However, many people with this issue benefit from something that specifically treats nerve pain, such as Gabapentin, either topically or orally. It is an anticonvulsant that also treats some forms of nerve pain and mood disorders.

Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, to the oral form may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, mood swings, dry mouth and weight gain.

I am takeing 1500 mg gabapentin daily plus 10-325 hydroco, plus high doses of B complex
I had a severe case of shingles and it has left me with nerve damage from spine under arm pit and across left breast that has lasted 10 weeks already, may be some better, also got a shot of cortazone or what ever else a pain DR gave me in the nerve which helped a few days. What can you tell me about radio frequency denervation for this condition.

Some people have had very good luck with it for various pain conditions.

It has minimal risk, it really just tends to be a tedious procedure, depending on how many nerves need to be done.

Generally, 60 to 70% of people get complete pain relief from it.
