Negative Test On Hydrocodone!

I took 5/325 hydrocodone twice daily but also drink a lot of water - my last test came back negative when I had taken one the day before the test (they were late refilling my prescription) and the test showed no trace amounts of it in my system - could I be drinking too much water?

I have had the same thing happen to me and they have threatened to stop prescribing it if I get another negative test. I am prescribed 2 per day as needed for breakthrough pain. That means some days if I'm in excruciating pain I will take more than 2 and I know that other days I will have to take less. I don't need them every day so this is how I "manage" my pain. I can't understand why I've come up with negative tests at all. I sometimes will only take a half if I am running low or if I've been having migraines and taking meds for that. I had an ulcer years ago and my stomach can't tolerate too much meds. I do drink lots of liquids, especially water and on the day I see the doctor I sometimes drink more just to insure I can pee on demand. I know I've taken the medicine and just cannot understand why but doesn't show up.
