Negative Results When Taking Urine Test
UpdatedI have been taking Oxycodone for way over a year prescribed by a pain clinic and I am also on a high dose of coumadin for blood clots in my leg and my lungs. I take 4 30 mg. everyday, and now just received a letter from the pain clinic that they have dismissed me due to Oxycodone not being in my urine! How can this be? I take it everyday as prescribed and I don't understand how any Dr. of pain management when you have legitimate chronic pain can just toss you out like an old doll. Something is wrong and they want even let me have a second chance or take my blood for another test! Something needs to be done when these Dr's get you on such a high dose of opiates and expect that you can deal with the pain without if and not to mention the withdrawal it involves, this could kill some people! I need help and answers, they knew I was taking all other meds as well as the high dose of coumadin also! What to do now?

The SAME THING JUST HAPPENED TO ME AND here's the post I just submitted before seeing that there were indeed others who've had to deal with the very same predicament!
I'm hoping someone out there might have experienced the same or similar situation that I am currently in. My pain management physician recently released me from her care because the rest results for illicit drugs or alcohol (basically looking for anything you're not supposed to be ingesting while being on the Rx they've prescribed for you) came back NEGATIVE for the Oxycodone I was prescribed. I had taken my regular dose approximately six hours prior to the BLOOD TEST so it should have shown up. Nonetheless, it didn't and since it was the SECOND TIME my results had come back the same way, albeit at least nine months before having had many regular testing done in between, the doctor accused me of not taking my Rx but, instead, SELLING THEM and THAT was the reason she released me from her care! I've since been referred to another pain management specialist BUT I now have what I consider A HUGE BLACK CLOUD OF SUSPICION over my head insofar as the new doctor is concerned! Has anyone had this happen to them and can anyone give me a clue as to WHY my test results would come back as negative for my Rx (Oxycodone) when I'd taken it six hours, possibly a little less) prior to the blood test? Any information or advice on how to address/what to say to my new pain management specialist would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
