I just moved here and i have ra along with degenerative disc disorder that is extremely painful. I dont have a doc. so i haven't been taking any meds and it is hard to just walk. I am in pain everyday and need relief fast. Is there anyone y'all can suggest that may be able to help now?

I have had back pain for almost 4 years now it has recently gotten so bad that OTC meds. Don't help anymore my Dr. Ran some test I have DDD spine narrowing , and hyperthrotic facet joints he has had me on nsaids and muscle relaxers 4 different ones . my pain is getting so bad I can't hardly move at times . I need a pain specialist in Knoxville Tennessee

I totally agree..whoever passed this new law are ******s..they dont care about poor people with no insurance..of course They want people on methadone or suboxone. The government makes millions of dollars off these people..They could care less..you are so right about methadone not helping pain..it destroys your bones and teeth..i personally know of 2 young people who have Od in the past 2 weeks..the government Thinks they can control what people take and do...it Never works..Never..So because of a few who abused their meds those who really need them will Suffer for it..Thanks Tn law makers..if you put that much effort into catching murderers, pedofiles, and rapists we might be in a better place..

do not do methadone it would be last resort it turns you in to a zombie honestly and i have been on everything you can think of and this is the worst if you dont have it for like over three to four days it is awful honestly. i had a bad bad car wreck flew to lifestar and i can not find a doctor to take my tenncare or medicare can anyone help me and dont write on here just email me please i would be so grateful i just want to take the pain away please thank u very much

The problem in Tennessee is that the only ppl who can get Medicaid are those who are pregnant on welfare with a bunch of kids. Actual sick ppl, especially men, don't have a chance.

Methadone is prescribed at pain clinics for chronic pain. I have been on it for about 3 years after my second rods were placed in my back. It doesn't mess up your head like hydrocodone, and you don't get the liver killer, acetaminophin.

doc. sarlo @ knox pain clinic may help you all ! He is a little hard to like but honestly he does care, somewhat !
You must have all your MRI"S and X-Rays and anything that states that you need to see a pain doctor

Connie, I live in Sevier County and am looking for a doctor to prescribe methadone for chronic pain. My doctor has retired and I am having trouble finding a doctor in Knoxville, Morristown or Sevierville that will write Methadone for pain. I have been on it for 15 years for chronic pain management. Any help would be appreciated.

My primary Dr. Has never gave me a narcotic nor did I ask for any.she sent me to Wartburg and I seen a Dr. There who told me I needed injections for my back&i explained I was in pain management center he DID NOT perscribe me any thing and sent me discharge papers saying that we had a bad patient/Dr. Relationship? And that I should go to a methadone clinic! I did not go to my appointment at my pain management center because I have a few saved from only taking as needed but now I have Tenncare and no doctor or pain management.I have Never failed Any urine test or pill counts and my Neruosurjion said he did not perscribe pain medications and I have appointment to see a Dr. For the injections who offers pain management but I don't feel like I should go there.I have felony offense on my record now from years ago and will also have to have neck surjury in the near future also and have had 5 other surjurys.I have current MRIs and my old pain management center WILL NOT give me my records but said they would give them to my next Dr. I need. Primary care Dr. Who understands pain management that takes my insurance and also a Pain Management Dr. Because it should be my choice if I want to have back surjury I have family members and friends who have had the same type of surjury and out of all of them it haven't help any of them only made matters worse.Please help me I live in the Knoxville,Tn area Please Help Me.

I have been Hiv Poz for 24 years and have a lot of skeletal pain including back and nerve damage. Hydocodone 10?325 help me at 3 or a day. But my doctor has been giving me problems the last several months and i have to see them 2 times a month. I dont know what to do. I would die of pain if i dont get that in my body. What should i do about the doctor problem and is there a better doctor out there that understands aids and the meds and the pain that goes with aids?

ok guys and gals this is the 411 for Knoxville, tn, this place sucks and with 40 plus pain clinics NOT ONE is friendly or wants to perscribe anything more than a few hydro's so your gonna have to find a clinic in the next closest big city , this is news DIRECT from my recently retired pain doctor, so i am in the same boat as everyone here, i have been turned down numourus times trying to get into a new clinic, the clinic i was at for 10 years with not one mis hap, missed pill count or missed or dirty tox screen, once they knew the main doctor was retiring, all the sudden they said i was dirty for alcohol on my last tox screen and discharged me with no warning what so ever, i was told everyone gets one warning if its not related to pot or street drugs and you take you perscribed meds as directed which i always did, so good luck guys.
