Hello Jaycee,
in response to reading your most recent log, I really don't know of any methadone clinics. Maybe you might come across someone here on this blog site who may know or recommend a helpful facility, but u might be waiting for a good while....and maybe not.
I personally would recommend " googling " (google) . If you are looking for a location for a particular city etc..etc...then just google for example; " methadone clinics located in Nashville Tennessee" after you do this google will list a whole bunch of possible listings that you can contact probably with addresses and phone numbers....
you will probably have much better success by following these steps...

I have had an unknown source of lower leg pain for 37 years. Over the past few years it has become worst (62 now) so that many nights I cannot sleep nor even relax during the early evening hours.
I have a misaligned and arthritic neck from the Atlas and down 5 vertebrae. It becomes such that it becomes very difficult to move my neck, and results in severe frontal lobe headaches and pain down both sides of my neck. All of this makes it very challenging at best to perform computer tasks needed to make a living working on a computer Daily chiropractic adjustment’s will help relief this source of pain but I don’t have the hundreds of dollars a month to live this luxury.
Last but certainly not least, I have been blessed with Crohns disease. This disease provides for daily discomfort and frequent flare ups that cause significant pain to the abdominal area.
My family physician will no longer prescribe me a very moderate dose of hydrocodone (10 mgs) for daily relief of these painful ailments.
So after completing nerve testing, sonograms for blood flow and an orthopedic examination all returning negative results, I continue onward with mild to severe lower leg pain with, constant neck pain and frequent abdominal pains with seriously, no Relief in sight.
I have been sent to a Pain Client. The Pain Client takes a month or more before prescribing any relief medicine. I must fill out numerous forms and submit to drug testing ( I should become a pilot or rail engineer). I continue to wonder why I am now being treated as a "drug addict", a “lesser citizen”, with the accompanying humiliation that was once reserved for a "Junkie" for lack of another term, instead of a “patient.”
I have found no "over the counter" pain medicine, rubs (or new exotic prescription types that make you sleep excessively or too groggy to perform tasks that require continuous mental focus), without taking (OTC medicines) at least triple the dose, that has any relieving effect at all on any of the above.
I only ask for some small dosage of medicine (e.g., 10 mg Hydrocodone or equivalent daily) to allow for a more peaceful and restful evening followed by a good night’s sleep. BUT, both the federal and state government really does know what’s best for; I.E., you will live in pain; you will lose your job, car and home; you will become homeless and live under a bridge. We cannot allow you to have any pain relief medicine. I have so much to look forward to in my golden years.
Tom

Katie J, I'm no help with your doctor needs, cause I'm in Colorado, I saw your post and was just wondering if you have had the great results with Opana 20mg ER that I have had, I have 10mg oxycodone for breakthrough. Good Luck, hope someone there can guide you to a good doctor.

Responding to Katie Jay...You can try the Knoxville Hope clinic located in north Knoxville....My mother in law goes there and she states that they are really professional and kind and actually listen to her. She got an appointment, with the proper paper work..the very next day...and has been going there since.
eight six five, eight five one, eight five zero eight.

I got blew up and burned at work in Morristown and I had nothing to do with it.But they drug tested me at UT and did nothing else but put me in another ambulance and sent me to Nashville. And then I got billed 6.000.00 for drug test which they found nothing because I wasn't taking nothing but suboxone but they didn't check for that.Anyway they found I had three bulging disc and arthritis in my back and said it was old injury of course. Anyway I lost my job because they fired me said I didn't come back to work and I lost my insurance that I was paying 170.00 week for family and couldn't go to clinic to get my suboxone so now I take methadone and it works and I need doctor that will write to me with tenncare .this is a long story lot more to it but for now I need methadone doctor that takes tenncare so please help the workingman that gets hurt then s*** on by workers comp and department labor and that's the truth department labor and tosha are for the company not the working man.

Go to an Urgent Care Unit - Tell them your condition - They should refer you to a Pain Clinic. That is pretty much how it is done now in Tennessee. Were all lumped into one basket if you will.

sorry to hear your trouble and situation. Like I have told a few people on this Forum in the past from listening to my mother in law and her experiences. You can do a walk in at some places (pain management clinics) but the bottom line is you have to possess a mri or ct scan no longer than two yrs. old. You have to have the paperwork with you to show the doctor....PERIOD or they will only schedule you for a later date requesting that you bring the proper papers with you then. So keep that in mind.....this clinic in north Knoxville will take walk ins only with the proper paper work on you......eight six five, eight five one, eight five zero eight....some places do require a referral...but I can't answer that one for you.....just have to call and find out.

Not all clinics require this information. Tier One Medical Center in Knoxville does not "require" these things. Walk ins are welcome. They charge a registration fee and have you sign medical releases and fax for your records of you do not have them. If they are more than 2 years old they will still see you but order new imaging if need be. They are the best clinic I have ever seen. They go above and beyond to do things right and to HELP true legitimate pain patients. They do a complete physical exam on each and every patient also. They strive to see walk ins the same day they walk in. They are not a fly by night clinic. They are the real deal. They are open Monday through Thursday. 865-219-5474.

Yes dilaudid is hydromorphone, nasty stuff. I had some and threw them away. Invented by the Germans in the early 1900's

Hey Cindy,
I recently left a message ..post # 154 and "scvvvv" responded with a message on the same day as well. This clinic In North Knoxville that I was referring to is a legitimate clinic. It is not a fly by night etc..etc.. They will listen to your problems and address your needs. They will also help you find a REASONABLY PRICED place to go have an MRI or a CT scan done....since you don't have insurance...if yours is out dated.
You obviously have a clinic history...from what you stated in your posting. So you know yourself that yes, there are places that will do walk ins ...as this one does as well but you have to be careful to. So I will state this with more precise detail as I failed to do so in the last posting I made.
without all the required documentation with you...yes they will still see you that day if it is your desire to have a doctor check you out that day.
But the one thing you have to remember is it makes it easier for you to already have your med. records from the previous clinic, family dr. etc....but if you don't it doesn't mean they won't take you as a walk in.....and yes they will request med. records from your previous doctor etc...via telephone and fax etc..etc...
but here is the catch...if the office personnel from your previous doctor doesn't respond (rsvp)and your records don't get faxed promptly, You will not get prescribed any meds that day. Now that is the bottom line..no doctor can legally write a script on a patient FOR the same day without all the proper documentation in front of him/her.....there is that possibility, that your paperwork may not get faxed promptly on that same day.....and it happens.
So that is why I suggested having as much of the proper required paperwork in hand, if possible. Makes it easier for you. Wherever you choose to go :)

Lots of chronic pain patients are having trouble getting their medications. I could go on for hours with all the horror stories that I have heard. There's a great lady who posts that has a petition to help get some law makers on our side. To try to put a stop to all the problems we are having with getting our medications and getting good medical care.

Please click on the petition and give us your signature. All chronic pain patients need someone in our corner.

Is Tier one medical not open anymore? I drove all the way to Knoxville today to find that they weren't open. I needed a place that would see me same day, I have current mri, pharmacy print outs & blood work in the past 6 months. My current doc stopped writing for opana IR & ER, put me on IR oxycodone only needless to say I am miserable.
