Need Pharmacy To Fill Oxy Prescription 14 Years No Problems Can T Work Now

I am trying to move my 92 year old father WW II decorated veteran from Louisville, Ky. to Fort Myers I am 62, we both have injuries to our bodies over the years and refuse to allow butchers to cut on us. We work and we move and we help other people till they cut of our ability to find pharmacies to fill our prescriptions in Fort Myers, the DEA only allows small amounts to pharmicies in Florida. My Dad has fallen and had withdraws, caused him to fall, I can not find the energy to move all the furniture and cars from Louisville to Florida, because of pains and muscle cramps. HELP!

I'm very sorry, Tom! I wish I had a way to help you.

However, the only suggestion I can really make is to talk to your doctor about possibly using some other medication to treat pain.

This isn't just happening in Florida, it is happening all over. There are limits on how much of any controlled substance a pharmacy is allowed to order and keep in stock each month and once they are out, they are out until the following month. These aren't new regulations, they just weren't being enforced before.

Do you have a regular doctor that you can consult about it?

Hi,
My husband has degenerated disc disease and his spine almost completely collapsed about 6years ago. Since then, his doctor back in Pa had him on methadone 6 mgs. Anyway, we moved to Florida in July, and have been getting the script filled in Pa by his parents and they send it to him. Without it, he could never work. His doctor back in Pa said he can't fill it any longer with out seeing him and he won't see him Without insurance. So we are really concerned because his work doesn't provide insurance and we can't afford to buy it. We don't have enough money to fly up to pa doctor and beg him to do the physical and continue writing script. So we URGENTLY need a doctor in Florida that will see him and continue his script. I don't understand all this. Not everyone is a drug addict and if you have the legitimate doctor reports etc. Why can't he live a life with less pain. He's only 37. This all happened when he was only 30-31. He says he can't live in that pain and I know he can't. He literally crawled up our steps in mid winter when the hospital sent him home and now h is complaining that he can barely move his neck. Doctors say his spine looks like an 90 year old man. Hospital said it looked like his discs were crushed. But it was all from disease. People can't be expected to live in pain. If anyone knows where we can find help in Spring Hill Florida PLEASE let me know.

I sure hope you found a resolution by now but taking 6 mgs of methadone daily would cost approx.$ 12 a month so it can't be a financial issue unless you meant 60 mg. then I can see why a doc wouldn't continue seeing him for 7 years without a follow up. MAILING A CDS is about as risky and dangerous as you can get. Sorry to say it's patients like your husband who legit. Need if his back is crushed is valid he'd be incapable of movement at all.
