Need Pain Management

I live in Memphis Tn.I have been going to the methadone clinic for 13 years.I have R A and I can't afford the methadone clinic anymore.I need to find A Dr That will prescribe my methadone. I need help ASAP

I'm sorry, but a clinic is your only option. It is illegal for a private practice doctor to prescribe it for addition treatment or maintenance, under current U.S. law, that can only be done by those specially trained in its use for such in a clinical setting. Even those that resorted to a clinic for pain, end up having to remain there, because once that is in your medial records, you have no other option.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I really wish I had better news for you, but until this law changes, this is the way things stand.
