Need Help With Cps Question

I'm 8 months pregnant today. I have a history of migraines and went to an ER that was close. I had taken one methadone about a week ago. I don't normally take pain meds or methadone. I just did that one time because I was in so much unbearable pain (I was in a wreck a year and a half ago). They ended up telling my baby's doctor and he reported it to CPS. I live in Alabama and I'm scared I'm going to lose my child because of this. Does anyone know what CPS will do?

They could take the child, by law, but would highly doubt that to be the case if what you say is the 100% truth. They can check the level of methadone in the sample to see that it was a 1-time use and due to the amount of pain you were in you just were not thinking straight and just used the internet to research something you could take to stop the pain that would not harm the baby and that was the option available to you....
