Need Help Finding Compassionate Doc In Crossville Tn

i have djd rheumatoid arthritis, pain from operation on five cervical discs in august. have spurs around spinal column. needing an additional surgery soon. docs are scared to give the medication i was on before. i barely make it through the month with what they prescribe, need a compassionate primary care through my p plan blue cross blue shield please help

Have you tried checking your plan's website to see what other doctors are available in your area? Our Blue provides us with a link, all we had to do was set up an account, then we can search for whatever type of doctor we need, they let us know it they are in network, or not, and provide their contact information so we can see if they are accepting new patients.

As to medications, if you are taking opiate narcotics, you will not find many primary care doctors that are willing to prescribe them, they have to deal with a lot of heavy scrutiny from the DEA when they do, and if the DEA thinks they prescribed inappropriately, they risk losing their license to practice medicine, fines, and possible jail time.

What is your general location? Perhaps if you can give some idea, another person in your area might be able to recommend a doctor.
