Can anyone help me find s pain management Dr thst prescribes 30 mg oxycodone i live in Baltimore County Perry hall md please help im in severe pain

Hello, Brandywine81! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain.

Due to the new regulations that were put in place, you'll need to see a specialist, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis for pain management.

You may also run into a problem, if you go to a doctor and ask for a specific medication in a specific dosage. Doctors are taught to view that as being drug seeking behavior. You really just need to see a doctor and discuss your treatment options with them, rather than asking for a specific medication.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Do you have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? That could be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I have IC, commonly known as painful bladder syndrome and have done physical therapy and acupuncture to no avail. I live in Baltimore md and am wondering if there are any good pain doctors that will be able to help with the pain. I tough out the pain most of the time but this is getting unbearable. I am open to trying pain meds but feel like doctors are so reluctant. The only time I have felt relief and not had to wake up in the middle of the night is when I have been on pain medication.
