Re: RMT (# 9)
Good luck. Colorado Pain Management was good until the Dr quit after a junkie threatened her. The replacement will not give you pain meds, she is more worried about her damned license. She took away half of the meds the precious Dr prescribed me.
There are two pain managment Dr.s who accept medicaid in Springs, Metamorphosis and Gorman Medical....
RMT. Any other details??? I tried searching online but can't find it. I've been going crazy trying to call centers since I finally got approved for Medicaid. Been without pain medication for 3 months now. I even called a place that said it's a year to wait for an appointment. I'm running out of options. -_-
There is a new Pain Management Clinic opening in Colorado Springs on Monday February 20th 2017. They accept Medicaid patients as well as all types of insurance. The name is Colorado Pain Relief of Colorado Springs. They charge a service fee to see the Doctors but Medicaid will be accepted to fill prescriptions.
Hey. I'm in the same type of situation. While you are searching for a doctor you might want to try "kratom". It helped me through my withdrawals of not having my meds. It helps a bit with the pain for sure(not like narcs but it's something). Sorry I can't help with a doc but if you're open minded you should definitely give it a shot. Hope all goes well.
Hello,
I am in very bad pain. I was in an accident a couple of years ago, so I was prescribed vicodin. I took two pills a day and felt comfortable enough to play some sports with my son. My doctor took me off of them saying I should see a pain specialist. So when I did, they said they don't prescribe narcotics. Then my doctor's nurse said that there's something going around that deters doctors from prescribing narcotics anymore. I feel sick! If u can help me that would be great! {edited for privacy}. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon! Have a good day.
If you have coverage through Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid program) and live in Colorado Springs, contact your regional care organization called Community Care of Central Colorado. It is their job to help coordinate your care, help you find a specialty doctor, etc. Their phone number is 866-938-5091. Give them a call - they are there to help!

Brian, call your health plan or the state Medicaid office. Although you will still have to call the drs they give you the names of and be sure that they still accept Medicaid Only.
