Need A Doctor In The Area Of Georgetown Sc For Methadone.

I am 30 yrs old with 2 kiddos. One is 8 and 3 both are girls and I has severe chronic back pain. I was parallized from waste down when my 8 yrs old was 3 months old. I finally was able to walk again by the grace of God and help from family. I was prescribed the prescription of 10mg methodone from my famaily doctor now he has left the practiceto take care of his parents in another state and now I am lost for words Bc I have not got any refills and bo doctor Pls help.

Any doctor that is licensed to practice medicine can prescribe it for pain, so the best thing to do would be to find a new doctor, set up an appointment, make sure they receive a full copy of your medical records, then discuss your needs, in person, at the appointment. However, be careful not to ask about the prescribing any specific medication over the phone, by text message, email, or etc., as that can be viewed as drug seeking behavior, which will cause many doctors just to say no, and refuse to even see you.

The FDA warns that Methadone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache.
