was getting methadone at a clinic but got medacare and cant go back they don't take madacare need to find new doctor in reno nv

I'm sorry, but a regular doctor can't prescribe Methadone for addiction treatment and, if you were going to an addiction clinic, regardless of why, that's what it is now listed under in your medical records. A regular doctor can only prescribe it for severe pain. Once you've been in a clinic for treatment with it, that is where you have to stay, under the current laws.

I don't know what insurance they accept, or what Medicare covers, but you could use the search feature at Suboxone.com to see if there is a doctor in your area that treats with it and call them to see if they accept Medicare.

The added bonus with it is that most people do end up completely drug free, after a few years of treatment, unlike those on Methadone that require a lifetime maintenance dose.

In the same boat, complete bs. I was better off not getting a good job before getting disabled. I make too much for medicaid which pays for everything, id have to take $365 out of my ss check to pay for methadone, sucks cause it works best for pain.

Liar, I was on methadone for pain. My Dr didn't accept medicare any more so I had to go to a clinic for 2 months till I could get a spot cause the Jones west ford / Dr rand bulls*** but when I did see the doctor he put me right back on my meds. So you're a liar, you're full of s*** and it's not against the law. You don't want people to get a doctor cuz you probably work for the clinic and make money.
