Naproxen Made Me Breathless

I have been taking naproxen for heel pain but whilst on it i got a really bad dose of head cold and also took a cold and flue capsule. I experienced a tight chest( probably the cold ) and became a little breathless with exertion, so I stopped taking both. Doctor said I had a chest infection and gave me antibiotics. After my cold cleared up and i finished the course of anti biotics i started to use the naproxen again and once again noticed breathlessness. I have now stopped taking them as it is mentioned to be one of the side effects, I wonder how long does this drug remain in your system, as after 30hrs without them i still feel a little breathless.

Hi thank you for taking the time to respond, I don't have fluid retention and I am glad to say the breathlessness has now gone away, and I feel well again,I feel sure now that the breathlessness was the lingering effects of the chest infection.

No, it shouldn't still be causing it that long after taking it.

Have you ever had high blood pressure? Do you take any other medications? Have you ever had fluid retention/edema?
